For housing providers
Housing provider terms
Additional safeguards for every room offered to students.
Effective 12 August 2026
1. Right to offer
You must be the owner or hold clear written authority to offer the property. A tenant offering a sublet must have any legally or contractually required landlord consent. Evidence is reviewed privately and may be rechecked.
2. Complete housing information
- Accurate address area, room type and availability dates.
- Basic rent, service costs, utilities, deposit and all other charges shown separately.
- Written contract type, duration, termination and house rules.
- Whether municipal address registration is possible and any lawful conditions.
3. Fair selection and anti-scam rules
- No discrimination or prohibited selection criteria.
- No request for a Plekko verification fee or payment to “unlock” a viewing.
- No copied photos, false urgency, misleading authority or off-platform identity harvesting.
- Selection criteria and decision records must comply with applicable Dutch rules.
4. Plekko’s role
Plekko reviews listings but is not the landlord, letting agent, guarantor or contract party. Review reduces risk but cannot prove future conduct or legal suitability. Students must receive time to inspect the property and agreement.
5. Enforcement
We may reject, pause or remove a listing, preserve necessary fraud evidence and report suspected crime or illegality where legally justified. Providers receive reasons and a review route where appropriate.
